My camera sucks when it comes to zooming in and preserving clarity. Or, perhaps I just haven't mastered that yet with my sweet Canon.

Seriously, anyone can take these shots.

New beauty.

Aww, petunias.

I love wild roses.

My dad's fig tree. Or at least, a close up of the baby figs.

I wish I could watch these things grow.

Four leaf clover?Pshaw. I'm not that lucky.

More of my dad's garden. I really want a garden of my own when I have a house. One with a courtyard and a lot of pacing room <--wink<--only one person will understand why.

At first glance, it was just a bush with flowers and tons of nasty bugs.

But I'm very curious, so I took a closer look and discovered that these bugs were lightning bugs!
And what were they doing, you might inquire?

Hooking up!

Sara decided to catch three and wait for night to come so they'd light up. She was even wondering if she could keep them until they had babies.

That idea was shortlived because that would be cruel...geez...holding lightning bugs in captivity! The Humane Society would object indeed. But we watched the couple and the random dude/dudette. I bet the solo bug felt kind of awkward with them doing it all the time. They never let go. That's just the insect way!

Set free!

Dude, it's a threesome.

The third dude/dudette was kicked off. These fireflies can mate and walk around like nothing was happening.

That's all folks. They've decided they wanted some privacy.

I ran the tech pi mile (3.14 miles) yesterday. I ranked third place in my age group 15-19 with a time of 25: 30! It definitely was an achievement I didn't expect. I would like to extend a HUGE thanks (and hug) to my photographer who supported me all the way! He probably ran more and quicker than I did in order to catch me at all the different points in the race.

Besh, you're brilliant!
(I'm borrowing the British use of that word.)

a simple reminder

meant for my one and only besh.
